ASTM A53 seamless steel pipe is a material of American standard steel pipe. A53-A is equivalent to domestic 10# steel, A53-B is equivalent to domestic 20# steel, and A53-F is equivalent to domestic Q235 material.

The main production processes of A53 seamless steel tubes are cold-drawn and hot-rolled. The main difference between the two is that the production process of cold-rolled seamless tubes is generally more complicated than hot-rolled. In appearance, cold-rolled seamless tubes are shorter than hot-rolled seamless tubes. The wall thickness of cold-rolled seamless steel tubes is generally smaller than that of hot-rolled seamless steel tubes, but the surface looks brighter. The surface of hot-rolled steel pipe is relatively rough.
