Production process of straight welded pipe influence on yield strength of X65M steel-grade steel

Taking a certain X65M steel grade steel plate as an example, the influence of the production process of the straight seam welded pipe on the final yield strength of the welded pipe is analyzed. The analysis shows that the forming process has a great influence on the yield strength of the X65M steel grade steel plate, and the yield strength of the base metal decreases after forming. 30~70 MPa; although the expansion diameter can increase the yield strength, the increase is not large enough to compensate for the loss of yield strength after forming; the yield strength of the rod sample is generally larger than that of the plate sample, but the increase is not large. It is recommended that the steel pipe production plant fully evaluate the physical and chemical properties of the raw materials and the metallographic structure, predict the change trend of the yield strength, and avoid the yield strength of the finished steel pipe exceeding the standard requirements.
