1. Quality inspection
Comprehensively evaluate the quality status of carbon steel pipes, including whether the appearance, size, shape, etc. meet the relevant standards and requirements.
2. Chemical composition analysis
Determine the content of each element (such as carbon, silicon, manganese, etc.) in carbon steel pipes by spectral analysis, chemical titration and other methods to evaluate whether its chemical composition meets the standard requirements.
Tensile test: Make the carbon steel pipe into a standard specimen and apply force at a specified tensile rate until the specimen breaks. The tensile strength data is obtained through testing to provide feedback basis for engineering design and optimize the design plan.
Hardness test: Use Brinell hardness test (HB), Rockwell hardness test (HR), Vickers hardness test (HV) and other methods to test the hardness of carbon steel pipes to reflect the strength, toughness and wear resistance of the material.
Bending strength, impact test: Detect the toughness and brittle transition temperature of carbon steel pipes.4. Non-destructive testing
Ultrasonic non-destructive testing: Use the propagation characteristics of high-frequency sound waves inside the material to detect and judge the internal defects of carbon steel pipes, such as welds, cracks and voids. Other nondestructive testing methods: Such as X-ray testing, magnetic particle testing, penetration testing, etc., can also be applied to the detection of carbon steel pipes according to specific needs.
5. Metallographic structure testing
Observe the microstructure of carbon steel pipes through a microscope to determine their composition, properties and defects. This helps to judge the manufacturing process of carbon steel pipes and predict their performance in actual applications.
6. Other special tests
ROHS testing: Evaluate whether carbon steel pipes meet the requirements of the EU directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances.
Salt spray test: Evaluate the corrosion resistance of carbon steel pipes in salt spray environment. Failure analysis: Analyze the carbon steel pipes that have failed or been damaged to find out the causes and mechanisms of failure.4. Reduce production costs: By testing and screening out qualified carbon steel pipe materials, the scrap rate and additional cost expenditure caused by material quality problems can be reduced, thereby reducing production costs.
