Classification and application of special equipment pipelines

Keywords: special equipment pipeline, classification and application, special purpose pipeline, pressure tube
Overview of special equipment pipelines:

Special equipment pipelines refer to pipeline equipment used in specific industrial production fields, mainly including petrochemical, aerospace, nuclear power, high-speed rail and other fields. These pipelines are very different from general industrial pipelines in terms of operating environment and requirements, and their design, manufacturing and testing are more stringent and complex. Therefore, special equipment pipelines are also called high-end pipelines, special pipelines, etc.

The main characteristics of special equipment pipelines are high temperature, high pressure, corrosion resistance, high strength, wear resistance, good air tightness, safety and reliability, etc. Seamless steel pipes are often used in these fields due to their unique advantages. In order to meet these requirements, special equipment pipelines have special requirements in terms of material selection, processing, welding and surface treatment.

Classification of special equipment pipelines:

According to the conveying medium, special equipment pipelines can be divided into: fuel pipelines, water pipelines, gas pipelines, liquid pipelines, steam pipelines, etc. According to the properties of the medium transported by the pipeline, special equipment pipelines can also be classified into: high temperature pipelines, high pressure pipelines, corrosion-resistant pipelines, low temperature pipelines, hot plate pipelines, steam pipelines, oil pipelines, etc.

Special equipment pipelines can be divided into metal material pipelines and non-metal material pipelines according to the material. Among them, metal materials include: carbon steel pipelines, alloy steel pipelines, stainless steel pipelines, high-temperature alloy pipelines, copper pipelines, etc.; non-metallic materials include: glass fiber reinforced plastic pipelines, plastic pipelines, ceramic pipelines, etc.

Application of special equipment pipelines:

1. Petrochemical industry
In the petrochemical industry, special equipment pipelines are mainly used to transport refined products, natural gas, liquefied gas, etc. When designing and manufacturing such pipelines, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, high pressure resistance, etc. need to be considered, and at the same time, they must comply with relevant national and industry standards.

2. Aerospace industry
In the aerospace field, special equipment pipelines are widely used in engines, gas turbines, liquid hydrogen propulsion systems, etc. These pipelines are characterized by high pressure resistance, high temperature resistance, good air tightness, and lightweight. The aerospace field involves high requirements for materials and manufacturing precision, so the design and manufacturing of special equipment pipelines is difficult.

3. Nuclear power industry
In the nuclear power field, a large number of special equipment pipelines are needed to transport coolants, turbine steam and other media to ensure the normal operation of nuclear power plants. Such pipelines need to meet strict standards in terms of high temperature, high pressure, radiation, etc. Any failure to meet the standards will bring serious safety hazards.

4. High-speed rail industry
Special equipment pipelines are mainly used in the braking, traction, and air conditioning systems of high-speed rail EMUs in the field of high-speed rail. The design and manufacturing requirements of these pipelines must be safe and reliable, lightweight, and reduce air resistance to ensure the safety and operation efficiency of high-speed rail.

Design, manufacturing and testing of special equipment pipelines:

The design, manufacturing and testing of special equipment pipelines require the use of professional standards and specifications, including national standards, industry standards, and internal enterprise standards. During the manufacturing process, strict control of raw materials and components quality inspection, welding process control, surface treatment and other links is required.

After the pipeline is manufactured, pressure testing, air tightness testing, RT, UT and other non-destructive testing are also required to ensure the safety and reliability of the entire pipeline process.

Conclusion:

Special equipment pipelines have a wide range of applications, and the design, manufacturing and testing requirements are high, involving many aspects of technology and expertise. During the application process, it is required to strictly comply with national and industry standards to ensure the safety and stable operation of the pipeline.
