Flaw detection method of seamless steel pipe:

Radiographic flaw detection technology can detect various welding defects inside seam steel pipe, and radiographic flaw detection can also detect quality problems such as cracks on the surface of steel pipe. Ultrasonic flaw detection technology can detect defects and foreign matter inside seam steel pipe, but its detection ability for welding defects is weaker than radiographic flaw detection.

Advantages and disadvantages of flaw detection methods:

1. Ultrasonic flaw detection technology is the most widely used technology for flaw detection of seamless steel pipes and seamed steel pipes. Its advantages are fast flaw detection speed and wide detection range. It can detect all defects and foreign matter inside the detection point, but the detected welding defects are relatively difficult to detect.

2. The detection ability of radiographic flaw detection technology for welding defects is better than that of ultrasonic flaw detection technology. It can detect smaller welding defects and can also detect quality problems on the surface of steel pipes. However, since rays are harmful radiation and have certain harm to the human body, radiographic flaw detection technology is subject to certain restrictions in practical applications.

On the whole, for different types of steel pipes, different qualified standards and use environments of pipes, corresponding flaw detection methods need to be selected to ensure the quality and safety of pipes. During the flaw detection process, the detection personnel need to work carefully and carefully to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the detection results.
