What are the common water pipe fittings?
There are many types of
water pipe fittings, covering all aspects of pipe connection, bending, support and sealing. When installing a water piping system, it is necessary to select the appropriate types and specifications of accessories according to specific needs.
Water pipe connector:
1. Welded joints: Mainly used to connect steel pipes and require joint welding. Common welding joints include
butt welding, socket welding and fillet welding.
2. Cast iron joints: Common cast iron joints include flange and red heart cast iron joints. Flange joints are generally used to connect large-diameter steel pipes, while red-heart cast iron joints are suitable for low-pressure, large-diameter pipeline systems.
3. Pipe clamp joint: A joint that connects two pipes together through a fixed clamp sleeve. Widely used in PVC, PE, cast iron pipes and other pipeline systems.
Water pipe elbow:
1. Elbow: used when the direction of the pipe changes. There are usually two angles: 45 degrees and 90 degrees. Used for bending pipes in water piping systems.
2. Joint elbow: a special elbow used to connect pipes of different diameters. Joint bending angles are generally 45 degrees and 90 degrees.
Water pipe flange:
1. Tee flange: A flange that connects three pipes, commonly found in branch water pipes and drainage systems.
2. Flat welding flange: a conventional flange connection method, suitable for situations with low water pressure.
3. Butt welding flange: Flange that needs to be welded to the pipe, suitable for occasions with larger pipe diameters.
Water pipe threaded pipe:
1. Metric threaded pipe: used to connect metric steel pipes and can be installed easily.
2. British threaded pipe: used to connect British steel pipes, widely used in transportation of oil, natural gas and other fluids.
