Smls pipe manufacturing process:
Smls pipe made of high quality carbon steel or alloy steel, hot-rolled, cold-rolled (pull) of the points.
Seamless (SMLS) steel pipe is manufactured from a solid round billet that is heated and pushed and pulled over a die until a hollow tube is formed. Seamless steel pipe is then finished to size and wall thickness specifications and ranges from 1/8" to 26" OD.
There are many ways to produce smls pipe. According to the delivery requirements, available hot rolling (about 80 ~ 90%) or cold rolling, cold drawing (about 10 ~ 20%) method of production. The billet for the hot rolled tube has round, square or polygonal ingots, billet or cast billet, and the quality of the billet has a direct effect on the quality of the pipe. Hot-rolled tube has three basic processes: ① in the punching machine on the ingot or blank into hollow thick-walled tube; ② in the extension machine will be thin rolling, extending into the wall thickness of the finished product; ③ in the finishing mill rolling The required finished tube. The rolling mill unit is represented by the maximum outside diameter of the production pipe.
