The outer coating of welded pipe FBE fused epoxy powder (FUSION BOND EPOXY) anti-corrosion steel pipe is a new type of anti-corrosion coating developed in the past 30 years. The coating has the characteristics of simple coating operation, no pollution, good impact resistance and bending resistance, and high temperature resistance, and has been widely used abroad.

Powder coating is a solvent-free solid powder coating, which has the characteristics of no solvent, no pollution, saving energy and resources, reducing labor intensity and high mechanical strength of the coating film. They are stable in storage at room temperature. After electrostatic spraying, friction spraying (thermosetting method), or fluidized bed dipping (thermoplastic method), they are then heated and baked to melt and solidify to form a flat and bright permanent coating to achieve decoration. and anti-corrosion purpose.

Production process of FBE epoxy powder anti-corrosion spiral welded pipe:

Spiral welded pipe FBE coating has two types: single layer and double layer. Spiral welded pipe FBE coating generally refers to a single-layer fusion-bonded epoxy coating. The single-layer FBE coating uses a special fusion-bonded epoxy powder coating as the film-forming material. This epoxy powder coating is a thermosetting coating, which is processed by mixing and crushing solid epoxy resin, curing agent and various auxiliaries.

The spiral welded pipe is shot blasted and preheated at intermediate frequency before painting, and then the epoxy powder coating is sprayed on the surface of the heated steel pipe by electrostatic spraying, and it is melted and bonded to the surface of the steel pipe and cured to form a coating.

The FBE coating of the spiral welded pipe is generally a one-time film-forming structure with a film thickness of 300~500μm. Spiral steel pipe FBE coating has the advantages of strong adhesion to steel, good membrane integrity, resistance to cathodic disbondment, soil stress resistance and wear resistance, but the ability to resist mechanical damage and moisture and heat resistance is poor. FBE coating can be used for external anticorrosion of steel buried spiral steel pipe or underwater pipeline facilities with working temperature of -30℃~100℃.

Double-layer epoxy powder anti-corrosion spiral welded pipe is a three-layer PE process formed by epoxy powder coating, polyethylene PE and adhesive winding or coating. Pipeline anti-corrosion technology used in oil, gas, urban gas supply and water supply.
