The internal and external anti-corrosion of the spiral welded pipe (ssaw) is to prolong the service life of the steel pipe. If the internal and external anti-corrosion treatment is not done, it will be quickly eroded by the conveying medium or the external environment.

Spiral welded pipe is a relatively common steel pipe, which can be seen in various engineering occasions, and the anti-corrosion forms of spiral welded pipe are also various. When transporting drinking water, the internal anticorrosion of the spiral welded pipe is particularly important, because the anticorrosion material must be firmly connected with the steel pipe wall, and the material itself must not pollute the water when it comes into contact with water.

Epoxy resin is an environmentally friendly and clean anti-corrosion material, including liquid epoxy and epoxy resin powder, liquid epoxy is for brushing, and epoxy powder is for thermal fusion (also called epoxy resin coating). Epoxy resin material is one of the most used anti-corrosion materials so far, mainly used for water diversion pipelines, tap water pipelines, and reference water pipelines. It is not enough for the spiral welded pipes that transport water to be internally anti-corrosion, but also to carry out external anti-corrosion. The external anti-corrosion is to prevent the microorganisms in the soil from corroding the steel pipes. There are also many forms of external anti-corrosion, mainly to prevent the external environment from corroding the steel pipe, such as three-layer structure polyethylene anti-corrosion, epoxy coal tar pitch glass cloth wrapping anti-corrosion, single-layer polyethylene powder coating anti-corrosion, etc.

The internal and external anti-corrosion forms of spiral welded pipes are determined according to different use environments. The purpose is to prevent corrosion, prolong the service life and save operating costs. During anti-corrosion processing, some are manually operated, and some are operated by equipment. The anti-corrosion steel pipes processed by anti-corrosion equipment are much better than those processed manually. After all, the equipment can be mass-produced after parameter adjustment, and the coating thickness of anti-corrosion materials is relatively uniform.

Application of anti-corrosion spiral welded pipe:

Anti-corrosion spiral welded pipes are mainly used for anti-corrosion of the outer walls of buried or underwater steel pipelines for oil, gas, water, and heat supply, and are also suitable for various steel structures, docks, ships, sluices, gas storage tanks, and oil refining and chemical plant equipment Anti-corrosion and waterproof and anti-leakage of concrete structures such as concrete pipes, sewage pools, roof waterproof layers, toilets, and basements.

Precautions for anti-corrosion spiral welded pipe:


1. During construction, it should be checked whether the groundwater and rainwater have touched the pipeline. If the water touches the pipeline, the jacket of the pipeline should be dried.
2. While installing the pipe, it should be handled lightly, and collision and falling are prohibited.
3. The insulation layer of the insulation pipe is prohibited from colliding with the burning fire to prevent the insulation layer from being burned.

4. Pipes and fittings should be stored on a relatively flat ground, stacked neatly, and the height of stacking should not exceed 1.5 meters.
