What is mechanical processing?
Mechanical processing refers to the process of changing the size or performance of a workpiece through a mechanical device. According to the difference in processing methods, it can be divided into cutting processing and pressure processing.
Steel pipes for mechanical processing are mainly used for mechanical processing, coal mining, hydraulic steel and other purposes. Most of them are pipes for mechanical accessories, pipes for geological accessories, pipes for agricultural economic accessories, pipes for automobile accessories, pipes for pipeline container equipment, pipes for military mechanical processing, and pipes for machine tools. When choosing steel pipes for mechanical processing, factors such as processing technology, processing accuracy, material strength, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance need to be considered.
The following are some common steel pipe materials for mechanical processing:
1. Carbon steel pipe
Carbon steel pipe is a commonly used steel pipe material for mechanical processing. It has good processing performance and weldability, and is suitable for manufacturing some low-medium strength and medium-high precision mechanical parts.
2. Alloy steel pipe
Alloy steel pipe has high strength and hardness, and is suitable for manufacturing some high-strength and high-precision mechanical parts, such as bearings, gears, machine tool parts, etc.
3. Stainless steel pipes
Stainless steel pipes have good corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, and are suitable for manufacturing some mechanical parts with high corrosion resistance requirements, such as chemical equipment, food processing equipment, etc.
4. Aluminum alloy pipes
Aluminum alloy pipes have light weight, high strength, good corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity, and are suitable for manufacturing some light mechanical parts and aerospace equipment, etc.
5. Titanium alloy pipes
Titanium alloy pipes have high strength, light weight, good corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, and are suitable for manufacturing some high-strength, high-precision mechanical parts and aerospace equipment, etc.
Types of steel pipes for machining:
The steel pipes used for machining mainly include precision steel pipes, thick-walled seamless steel pipes, galvanized square pipes, stainless steel seamless pipes, etc. These steel pipes are widely used in the field of mechanical processing due to their excellent physical properties and processing properties.
Common types and uses of mechanical tubes:
1. Precision steel pipes
Commonly used in automobile manufacturing, high-precision machinery manufacturing, aerospace and other fields. Precision steel pipes can meet the bearing system requirements of high-speed milling machines, machining centers and other equipment due to their high precision and good mechanical properties, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the equipment.
2. Thick-walled seamless steel pipes
Widely used in mechanical processing, coal mining, hydraulic steel and other fields. Hot-rolled thick-walled seamless steel pipes and cold-rolled thick-walled seamless steel pipes are suitable for chemical, petroleum, light textile, medical, food and other industrial fields due to their corrosion resistance and mechanical strength.
3. Galvanized square pipes
Commonly used in construction, mechanical processing and other fields, with good corrosion resistance and high strength.
4. Stainless steel seamless pipes
Stainless steel seamless pipes are suitable for high-pressure and corrosion-resistant environments, and are often used in the manufacture of industrial machinery and bearings.
Production process and quality standards:
The
seamless steel pipe products for mechanical processing use pipe billets (mainly continuous casting billets) as raw materials, and are made into steel pipes after heating through centering, perforation, continuous rolling, and tension-reduction unit rolling. At the same time, quality control measures such as pipe end thickening, pipe joint processing, heat treatment, ultrasonic flaw detection, spectrum, hardness testing machine, etc. will be carried out during the production process to ensure the quality and performance of the steel pipe. The annual output has exceeded 600,000 tons, with product outer diameters of 8~720mm and wall thicknesses of 2.5~40mm, including casing, oil pipes, drill pipes, low, medium and high pressure boiler pipes, marine pipes, train and automobile pipes, fluid structure pipes and cold-drawn deep processing pipes, etc.
Large-diameter mechanical thick-walled pipes adopt the domestically first-in-class extrusion, forging, oblique rolling and leveling optimized combination production process, with excellent technical equipment and reasonable process layout. The main equipment includes various industrial furnaces, hydraulic presses, drawing and stretching machines, oblique rolling and piercing machines, leveling machines, sizing machines, straightening machines, pipe cutting machines, large boring machines, internal and external grinders, and other advanced heavy-duty production equipment, which are highly adaptable to improving product grades, meeting market demand, and enhancing competitiveness.
In summary, there are many types of steel pipes commonly used in mechanical processing. Different steel pipe materials are suitable for different mechanical processing processes and parts requirements. Choosing the right steel pipe is crucial to improving the efficiency and accuracy of mechanical processing. The right steel pipe material should be selected according to specific usage requirements. At the same time, factors such as cost and feasibility should also be considered when choosing the steel pipe material.
