Welding requirements for seamless steel pipes (SMLS):

1. Welding equipment requirements
Welding equipment should comply with national regulations and pass inspection. At the same time, check whether the electrical grounding of the equipment is reliable. Operators must be certified to work and wear and use personal protective equipment as required.

2. Welding material requirements

The electrodes or welding wires used should meet the requirements of product standards and should be stored in a dry warehouse that meets the specified requirements. Before use, the electrode or welding wire should be carefully checked for damage, deformation, corrosion, etc., and should be processed in accordance with the preheating, baking, annealing and other process requirements specified in the product standards.

3. Welding environment, preparation and organizational requirements
The welding of seamless steel pipes should be carried out in a dry, wind-free, dust-free, rain-free and frost-free environment, and contact with other chemical substances should be avoided. The workpiece should be inspected before welding, and various preparations should be carried out after confirmation, including cleaning, processing, assembly, isolation, etc.

4. Welding operation requirements
Welding operations should be performed in accordance with product standards, and operating points such as current, voltage, arc length, and welding speed should be mastered. During welding, attention should be paid to protecting the weld seam, and different welding processes should be used in different welding stages.

1. Avoid overheating
During the welding process, care should be taken to avoid excessive heating and expansion or deformation of the weld.

2. Pay attention to welding joints
When performing electric welding joints, attention should be paid to keeping the angle of the welding needle correct, and there should be no gaps or cracks at the welding joint. The size of the welding joint should be suitable for the wall thickness of the steel pipe.

3. Keep the welding location clean
When welding, attention should be paid to keeping the area around the welding location clean to avoid dust or other impurities falling in to avoid contaminating the weld.

4. Choose the appropriate welding method

When welding, appropriate welding methods should be selected to meet engineering requirements and product standards.
