Maintenance of spiral pipe (SSAW) unit:
Lubrication is a crucial aspect of equipment maintenance. Depending on the specific needs of each component, this equipment employs both thin oil lubrication and dry oil lubrication.
1. Thin Oil Lubrication System: The uncoiler, clamping and straightening machine, conveyor, and reducer all use oil bath lubrication. The reducer requires manual lubrication. Use L-CKC 220 or L-CKC 320 industrial gear oil conforming to current standards. The original HJ-28 rolling mill oil can be used as a substitute, but upgrading is recommended.
Check and add lubricating oil monthly, and change the lubricating oil every six months. Except for the dry oil in the oil cup, lubricate all adjusting components requiring thin oil lubrication once per shift (using total loss system oil conforming to ISO VG 46 or 68; the original HJ-50S machine oil can be used as a reference).
2. Gearbox maintenance mainly focuses on the worm gear body. The oil level should not exceed 2/3 of the oil level mark and should not be lower than 1/3 of the oil level mark.
3. During unit operation, the shaft seat temperature should be checked frequently, generally not exceeding 70℃ or a temperature rise not exceeding 40℃ (refer to the equipment manual). Related parts of the transmission components should also be checked frequently and addressed promptly.
4. Replace seals frequently.
5. Before shift changes, operators should wipe the equipment clean, removing sand, scale, etc., keeping the equipment clean, and maintain a shift change record.
6. The inspection cycle can be considered as follows: a minor overhaul quarterly, a medium overhaul annually, and a major overhaul every two years. Users can adjust flexibly according to actual usage, shifts, load, etc.
Regarding personnel safety:
a. Operators must receive specialized training and education; otherwise, they must not operate the equipment.
b. The unit can develop procedures to prevent personal injury and equipment accidents based on specific circumstances, including:
● Never touch the running belt with your hands.
● Never walk up or down the runway.
● Wear protective equipment during operation.
● Never perform any adjustments, cleaning, lubrication, or maintenance work while the equipment is running.
